Blue Danube Renewed

22 03 2008

web
We've launched a large renewal of the Blue Danube Wine site.
The new version works in their branding and image assets much better and also creates for a smooth navigation and a better user experience.
Additionally, the system is heavily integrated in to a custom Content Management System that we build to handle updates and give greater control to the content manager of the site. Blue Danube Renewed

MTV has gone from just a place to see the latest videos, to a full brand-name experience. Thusly, they needed an online store. For this, we handled all the front end coding and user interaction components. It came together in a nice site that pairs well with their main portal.

A site with a journalistic angle to it that needed to provide the ability to blog, post photos, provide community interaction, and do it all in Spanish. The end result is one that's gotten heaps of praise from peers and is constantly featured in Spanish language sites.

Suite for Skin is a local beauty salon that opened up and needed a site. We were happy to oblige. With their opening of a salon in Berkeley as well, the site needed some expanding, which is always made every so much easier due to CSS and Smarty.

If you Can't Find it, Go to SeenON!

This mega-marketing site is now completely up and running after a soft launch in December. Essentially it's a site for finding products from shows that you like. What we ended up doing all the CSS, JavaScript, images, and Smarty template building. The primary CSS files are more than 2,000 lines total, so to say that it's intricate is a serious understatement. Then of course, there is the lovely Mootools. Man we love that Mootools.

All of the CSS and Flash work came together to give a pretty good little store for this show you might have heard of called, The Simpsons? Yeah, we know, we hadn't heard of it either. Looks pretty funny. Something about donuts and nuclear power.

Old First Concerts Live

This was a great project. It's a performing arts group that's in our neighborhood and really puts out good shows.
Their previous site was one of those ones that was leftover from the late 1990's with five pages, including one with all of their performances that had to be updated by someone with no HTML knowledge each month. It worked, but it could work a lot better.
The site new site works a lot better. Everything runs through a central database and a custom CMS was built to handle all the data. Then, ticket sale were also added in so that people could buy online. Altogether, it's a great site now that functions well and gives them much more of a presence online, which is incredibly crucial for small non-profit groups that rely on donations.
